NORSE ARMY LIST

The first real post on the Norse army, finally.

Rather than starting from the existing list in V3 (see White Dwarf # 107 UK), I preferred to make an adaptation for the V6 / V7, my favorite versions in terms of ease of play.

So, with that in mind, I worked from the mercenary list, the cult of Ulric, and a very functional list, searchable at LE VERRAH RUBICON DE VERENA, a French site full of resources.

The objective was to make the list stick with my collection ... and here is the result (sorry, in french only. All comments welcome!).

I think I can hardly reach 1500 points with this list, but it is not necessarily a problem. My goal is not to represent a Large Norse Army, rather a small strike force.

Now the first painted figures ! With a few archers, and the beginning of the Huscarls.

If I rather like the color scheme, it is clear that my painting method is too slow. I open a test phase (airbrush, white undercoat ...) to try to "revolutionize" my habits ...!

MORE BATTLE CHARIOTS

First post of the year ... Happy new year to all ! ... Better than 2020? We will see...

I ended the year by completing two more goblin battle chariots.

My army of goblins is almost complete. I should paint a snotling pump wagon, some snotlings bases, and a unit of half-orcs ....

However, I am thinking of alternating painting sessions with a whole new project ... a Norsca army!

Some models are old citadel references (the vikings and barbarians) still available at Wargames Foundry.

I have to think about the color schemes, the banners ... and the army list (V6 / V7). I'm thinking of mixing between the cult of Ulric list and a simple but effective list available on the excellent french site "LE VERRAH RUBICON DE VERENA"
